Zambian model and socialite Lisa Mutambo has passed away at the age of 25 after falling ill following a night out with friends in Lusaka. The Zambia Police Service confirmed that Mutambo became unconscious and began vomiting at a residence in the Kalundu area in the early hours of Thursday, August 20, 2026, before being rushed to Victoria Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police process scene as autopsy results pending
According to police deputy spokesperson Chipo Kaitisha, Mutambo had spent the previous evening socialising at a local hotel and another venue with friends before her boyfriend picked them up and drove her home. Addressing online rumors alleging physical violence, police stated that no physical injuries were observed on her body, which has been transferred to the University Teaching Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination to determine the cause of death.
