Janice Combs, mother of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, has hit back furiously at Netflix over the recently released four-part documentary series Sean Combs: The Reckoning, calling it a “smear campaign” full of “lies” and “inaccuracies.”
In a formal statement to Deadline, Janice denied key allegations made in the doc including claims that she was an abusive parent and that her son once slapped her after a tragic 1991 basketball-game stampede where nine people died.
She insisted the depiction is “intentionally misleading,” arguing that she worked multiple jobs as a single mother to raise Diddy with love and hard work, not violence.
Janice furthermore challenged the credibility and motives of those who made the claims suggesting that some are out to revive old personal or business disputes, particularly around Bad Boy Records.
She’s now calling for a public retraction of the alleged misrepresentations leaving fans and critics wondering if Netflix will respond.
