Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean have renewed hopes of a possible Fugees comeback after revealing that the group has gone through an “incredible healing process”.
The duo spoke ahead of a major concert celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Score, the legendary 1996 album that cemented the Fugees as one of hip-hop’s most influential groups.
The album produced global classics including Ready or Not, Fu-Gee-La and Killing Me Softly, but the group has not released a studio album in nearly three decades.

Speaking about the possibility of new music, Wyclef said the group was “in an amazing place”, while Hill confirmed there was potential for future projects.
“There was an incredible healing process that happened with us as a band and as bandmates,” Hill said.
Although neither artist confirmed that a new album is currently being recorded, their comments have encouraged fans who have long hoped for a full Fugees reunion.
The group’s third member, Pras Michel, remains absent while serving a prison sentence in the United States following his conviction in a federal lobbying and fraud case.
For fans, the renewed connection between Hill and Wyclef represents the possibility of another chapter from a group whose music defined an era.
