Negotiations between the two clubs have accelerated over the last 48 hours, with the Reds set to structure a package comprising a guaranteed £100 million fee plus £20 million in add-ons tied to performance and team achievements.

The 23-year-old winger’s anticipated arrival adds uncertainty regarding Cody Gakpo’s position at the club, with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City both monitoring the Dutch international’s situation. Barcola’s versatility across the frontline provides valuable options for Liverpool, who have also been seeking right-wing targets after seeing multiple bids for Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh turned down.
