Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has completed a permanent move to Turkish club Galatasaray for €75 million, making it the most expensive transfer in Turkish football history.

The 26-year-old spent last season on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli and impressed with 26 goals in 30 league matches, helping the club win the Turkish Super Lig title.

Following his strong performance, Galatasaray pushed to sign him permanently. Talks with Napoli took weeks, but both sides have now agreed to the deal.

Osimhen was missing from Napoli’s recent pre-season training, sparking rumours that a transfer was close. Sources later confirmed that final discussions were ongoing.

Napoli’s new coach, Antonio Conte, had no plans to include Osimhen in his team for the new season. This made his move to Galatasaray likely.

With this deal, Osimhen becomes Galatasaray’s most expensive player ever.

Napoli, on the other hand, have signed Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne as part of their squad rebuild.

Osimhen became a global star after helping Napoli win the Serie A title in 2023. Now, he will lead Galatasaray’s attack as they prepare for the UEFA Champions League.

His move ends months of transfer speculation linking him to clubs in England and Saudi Arabia.
