Nigerian singer Esegine Allen, popularly known as Orezi, has announced the death of his father, Esegine Samson.
The music star shared the sad news on Instagram on Tuesday, posting a photo of his late dad alongside a heartfelt message.
He described his father as his “guardian angel, biggest supporter, mentor and role model,” adding that the pain of the loss feels unreal.
“In the last few hours, my world has fallen apart. My guardian angel is gone. I’m heartbroken, confused, and in deep pain,” he wrote.
“This feels like a dream. Daddy, please wake up. I’ve cried and cried, and the tears won’t stop. Death has done this to me. Until we meet again, I love you forever.”
Orezi also asked fans and friends to pray for him and his family during this difficult time. He did not reveal the cause of death.
Since the post went up, fans and fellow celebrities have flooded his comment section with prayers and messages of support.
