Nigerian singer Palisico Ogunka, popularly known as Sky B, has stirred controversy after claiming that he once joined the Illuminati in his quest for music stardom.
The ‘Ma Bebe’ crooner made the claim in a video currently circulating on social media, where he alleged that he sought membership of the secret group in 2007 at the height of his career.
Sky B said he was driven by a desire to attain the level of success enjoyed by Don Jazzy and the then Mo’Hits Records.
According to him, he was introduced to the group through a friend, who linked him to contacts outside Nigeria, leading to his initiation into what he described as the African unit of the organisation.
He claimed the initiation process involved the use of special pomade, rings, necklaces and other items, which he said he used particularly during stage performances.
The singer alleged that his career initially benefited from the association, saying he gained wealth, fame and travelled abroad, acquiring luxury cars and enjoying public attention.
“Everything changed after the initiation. Things started working for me,” he said.
However, Sky B claimed that he later became uncomfortable when discussions allegedly shifted towards demands involving human sacrifices.
He said this was the point he decided to pull out of the group.
The singer further alleged that shortly after his decision, he was involved in three separate accidents within one month, which he linked to his past involvement with the group.
Sky B, who has largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent years, said he decided to speak out to share his experience and warn others chasing fame at all costs.
