Taylor Swift appears to be preparing for more than a wedding. She may also be preparing for a fashion moment.
The American pop superstar is reportedly expected to wear multiple outfits when she marries NFL star Travis Kelce, with several custom dresses said to have been created for her ahead of the highly anticipated ceremony.
According to Page Six, the 36-year-old singer has a number of bridal looks to choose from as speculation grows around her reported July 3 wedding in New York City.
The event is expected to fall during the Fourth of July holiday period, giving what is already one of pop culture’s biggest love stories an even bigger stage.
Designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, the creative forces behind New York fashion label Monse, are reportedly among those in the running to dress Swift.
The pair recently exited Oscar de la Renta, a brand with which Swift has enjoyed a long and visible fashion relationship.
A wedding look built for secrecy
Swift has worn Oscar de la Renta on major stages and red carpets in the past, including during her Eras Tour.
She also wore a striking Oscar de la Renta gown to Selena Gomez’s wedding last year, further strengthening her link to the designers who once led the fashion house.
Reports claim the singer may not attend normal fittings at any fashion house.
Instead, designers are said to be working with a mannequin built to her exact measurements, a move that would help keep the bridal looks away from public view before the ceremony.
That secrecy fits the larger tone around the wedding.
Swift and Kelce have reportedly taken strong steps to protect details of the event, with guests allegedly required to sign nondisclosure agreements before receiving full information.
Some guests are also said to have been told they cannot bring plus-ones.
Elizabeth Taylor inspiration enters the conversation
Daily Mail previously reported that Swift’s wedding dress could draw inspiration from Elizabeth Taylor’s 1950 wedding gown to Conrad Hilton.
The link is not random.
Swift released a song titled Elizabeth Taylor on her 2025 album, The Life Of A Showgirl, and was reportedly drawn to the old Hollywood star’s fashion while working on visuals connected to the project.
A source claimed Swift admired the old-fashioned waistline and lace detailing of Taylor’s gown.
There are also claims that Swift may consider wearing jewellery connected to Elizabeth Taylor’s estate, although nothing has been officially confirmed.
The wedding itself is expected to be one of the biggest celebrity events of the year.
Reports claim Swift and Kelce may hold two gatherings at Madison Square Garden, with a smaller event on July 2 and a bigger celebration on July 3.
The larger event could reportedly host about 1,000 people and may include onstage performances.
Permits have reportedly been filed for street closures around Madison Square Garden from July 2 to midday July 4, adding more weight to claims that a major Swift-related event is being planned.
Several Kansas City Chiefs players are also said to have booked rooms in New York around the same dates.
Swift and Kelce first went public with their relationship in 2023 after she attended a Kansas City Chiefs game.
They announced their engagement in September 2025 with a joint Instagram post joking that “your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
For now, neither Swift nor Kelce has officially confirmed the wedding venue, designer list, guest list or final dress choice.
But if the reports are correct, this will not be just a wedding dress reveal.
It will be a carefully controlled fashion rollout.
