Nigerian rapper Vector Tha Viper has paid a touching tribute to late music icon Sound Sultan during the holy month of Ramadan, remembering him for his humility, peaceful nature and ability to connect with people from different backgrounds.
Vector shared the heartfelt message on social media on March 9, 2026, reflecting on the late singer’s quiet expression of his Muslim faith and the values he embodied throughout his lifetime.
In his tribute, the rapper noted that Sound Sultan practised his religion in a calm and respectful way, explaining that many people hardly noticed he was Muslim except during Ramadan when he openly observed the fasting period.
Vector described the “Jagbajantis” crooner as someone who blended easily with everyone around him regardless of religion, tribe or social status. According to him, Sound Sultan carried himself with kindness and respect, traits that made him widely loved across the Nigerian entertainment industry.
The rapper’s tribute quickly sparked reactions online, with many fans agreeing that Sound Sultan was known for his humility, peaceful personality and positive influence both within and outside the music scene.
Sound Sultan, whose real name was Olanrewaju Fasasi, passed away in July 2021 after battling cancer. Since his death, colleagues and fans have continued to celebrate his legacy as one of Nigeria’s most respected and socially conscious musicians.
